Loaves & Fishes

Larissa

Started my day out right today with a scrub-a-dub-dub in the cabin's outdoor shower and made a little Diary Entry. Trying to figure out how to navigate the ever changing tools of Google and YouTube is always "fun"...but I digress. Things here are moving along on The Kitty Pants Ranch. I'm hoping very soon that we will have some interest in all the cabin has to offer. But until then, I will enjoy the shower myself.

It's Monday so that meant it was bread baking day on TKPR. This week I've opted to make flat bread instead of sandwich loaves. Used a couple fresh pieces to accompany today's lunch mezza. It's exciting to be able to start harvesting small items like arugula, amaranth greens, nasturtium leaves and herbs from the garden. And in a couple years we're sure to have more than enough olives to cure. Who doesn't like mezza? Lunatics with no taste...that's who. Today's mezza included home made hummus, fresh salad, pineapple slices, kalamata olives, herbed yogurt dip and of course, the star of the plate...the bread.

Also, last week we added a couple new fish friends to our tanks. Bill and Ted are a couple albino pleckos making short order of all the agea in Shrimpy-friend's tank and the big tank. Daryl and Sloopy are still holding things down in Devil fish's tank. That poor fish is so grumpy.

Sure, I could go on and on about all the shitty things I see in the news and the weirdness of venturing out and about in the World these days, but why do that? Aren't there enough people bitchin' and moanin' without me offering my 2 cents on matters. Besides...fish lives matter too. Don't they? And what's better than fresh warm bread and home grown veggies? If you ask me nothing except maybe showering outside in nature and the feeling of the sun on my bare ass.
